海藻と回想のしげみを抜けて、時々、彼らはひょいと踵をかえします。
目が合うと、私も泳ぎたいと思うのです。
私は泳ぐのがへたっぴだけれど。
どうしたらあんなに楽しそうに、思い出の波間を泳げるのでしょうか。

This is the sea—the deep, deep bottom of the ocean.
Fishes with goggling eyes and humorous shapes are swimming round and round.
Passing through thickets of seaweed and memories, they occasionally turn on their heels with a flick.
When our eyes meet, I feel a sudden urge to swim along.
Even though I am quite a clumsy swimmer.
I wonder how they can swim so joyfully through the waves of memories.
